LA’s latest newcomer is bending the rules for wardrobes & lifestyles

Los Angeles, CA, March 5 – Revolve's former Designer, Eric Garcia, has launched his debut lifestyle brand, Son of León, with the collection entitled Summer of SOL. The brand is exclusively an online retailer, featuring pieces including rompers, caftans, hoodies, matching sets, and accessories. With inspiration stemming from the sun kissed, wandering spirit of Los Angeles, the collection brings vintage silhouettes to the limelight, while keeping its essence rooted in the rich Latinx culture of Southern California. Each piece is designed from scratch with the Los Angeles lifestyle in mind; from bar to beach, from Summer to Winter, Garcia’s designs ensure versatility, comfort, and style.
The Summer of SOL Collection’s meaning is purely to enjoy this year’s summer with your best foot forward. The past year has been life changing for many people so it’s important to get out there and let this be the Summer of you. Let the sun (sol in Spanish; acronym for Son of León) kiss your skin and warm your soul this summer.
The lifestyle brand’s focus is to provide a space to encourage all of us to be a better version of ourselves. “We want to create a community, start conversations, and spread wellness. We want to foster the freest version of you. This is what truly inspires us”, says Eric Garcia.
Son of León is also going against the grain of the industry by making inclusivity not just a feature, but the essence of the label. “Our models are your guy next door who is a person of color; who is an immigrant; who struggles with anxiety; who has lost a parent; who has body image insecurities. The design process of the lifestyle brand is true & thorough. “I needed to design from scratch, ensuring every detail is accounted for and the fit is perfect. I never design anything I wouldn’t want to wear”, says Garcia. All pieces are offered in sizes XS to 2XL to be as size inclusive as possible (with the Caftan as the exception where sizing is Regular or Tall). Each piece is also designed to move as freely as your lifestyle.
Son of León plans to add new pieces throughout the year, including Fall/Winter-friendly looks, and expand into new silhouettes for men and women.
